I didnt need a new PC when I built mine in august
but seeing that I bought my DDR5-5200 for €104,90 and that its going for €419 nowadays does make me feel vindicated

i feel like shit rn. i have 64gb of ddr4 3600. i bought it right before the shortage for 150 and now the same kit is 875 goddamn dollars. worth more than my cpu and gpu combined. might donate half to my friend idk

I'm struggling with the ram shortage with my microcomputers.
They locked up the place that I usually stole microcomputers from, so now I can't add to my huge adblock/VPN/DNS/media server rig.
But I was very lucky and bought my main computer right before the price hike. Crazy to think my PC would be $1000 more expensive if I had waited one more month. I am currently running 64 GB of RAM.

I know firefox and Chrome are going blow for blow on who gets the chew through more of your ram but there's no way you need more than 16GB max.

Use Waterfox, it's pretty light on resources since it removes Firefox's telemetry.
