A major issue is tribalism, partly rooted in our biological "us vs. them" instinct, along with the habit of slapping labels on people.
Tribalism makes us agree with anyone on "our team": if I'm a liberal, whatever another liberal says must be right.
Labeling works as a shortcut to dismissal.
Call someone a fascist, a commie, a liberal, an Islamist (or any other label), and you've given yourself permission to stop listening.
This problem is widespread, but it's especially acute in politics.
I'd argue that politicians have much more responsibility then a doctor.
If a doctor has wrong views they will harm at most the quantity of patients they treated. If a politician has wrong views they will harm the whole quantity of people they have influence on.
Take the famine after the great leap forward, it was a result of a wrong economic/political organisation. The theoretical mistake led to direct harm.
Would have more open minded way of thinking prevented that? Surely it would have helped.

Heh, mostly immigrants trying to get an easy paper. I believe the process of moving to a country should be easier, but not like that

Forgot that too. im currently paying around 26K yearly for a course which im guessing would be almost triple in US, Also the Healthcare cost would'nt make you regret surviving

thats what I mean
its always about the waffles (brussels or liege? I honestly dont know what people refer to as belgian waffles) or chocolate
but nevet about the actually good food like stoverij or hutsepot
there's also garnalenpannetje but that is a family recipe as far as Im aware, if you look that up you'll get results but they're not what Im referring to

I an American (whole life) but we are soooooo fucked right now. Literal fascist power in control right now. But also.... everyone is equally fucked from what I've heard so yeah, we're reaching a breaking point. I'm expecting a couple major countries governments to go to shit within the decade
