Classical werewolves are literal wolves, not anthro-wolves, in the sense that in ancient Greek folklore they were literal wolves at night and humans in the day.
For example, in the myth of King Lycaon, Zeus turns him into a plain four-legged wolf - no hybrid, no speech, no bipedal stance. Medieval Scandinavian úlfhéðinn (wolf-warriors) were believed to physically become wolves, not half-men. So nah, werewolves are not furries. But yeah, my bad that I didn't consider the modern idea of werewolves.
