I wrote a message explaining, but it was sent to moderation. In short, the council was unfair, but no one on the council was evil. The villains in the cartoon were Star, who did such terrible things that I can't write them down without activating moderation.

Trying not to give spoilers, please don't read if you want them.
The council erased Queen Eclipsa from history and imprisoned her family. This is because the kingdom was founded against monsters, and Eclipsa had married one.
So far, so good, but in the end, the show understands that all the injustice was caused by magic, so Star DESTROYS the magic and instantly KILLS all magical beings in the universe (and everyone who depends on them), also ending portal travel. Hekapoo was never evil; she just has a complicated job. And everyone on the council is also nice guys. Even though the council did bad things, everyone was happier before Star ruined everything.
Hekapo, the council, all the minions that Star had in her wand die in the end because they are magical, and that sucks.

the back to back controversy around this game was so fking weird
- people draw fan art of the female lead
- someone makes an animation of her doing a cute dance
- people on twitter go nuts, calls the animator a sick gooner for sexualizing a rape victim by making her ass and tits bigger
- animator says he literatlly just ripped the model straight from the game, he did nothing to her boob and breast size.
- game dev says "calm down its just a game, feel free to make whatever fan art you want"
- a vtuber covers the drama
- a human cockroach reacts to the vtuber on his twitch stream, and plans to play the game
- game dev gets angry because he hates the cockroach man
- cockroach man plays it anyway and says the game is good
