With it being live in a few days time (04.12.2025 at the time of writing this) I wondered, what do you all think about the nominees and everything surrounding it? Including this thing-

outdated but Claire was 100% an industry plant and so is crimson desert
Half knowledge here but wasn't the main lead guy a fucking millionare or in a high value french family? It still had millions poured into the game if im not wrong
i have no idea where you even got that information. im looking at his bio right now and i see no indication of financial status other than being able to afford a PS1 and FF7 and getting a Masters Degree in Marketing.
What I already know about his backstory was that he was one of the dev leads for latest Tom Clancy Ghost Recon, but after the game was done, he was sent to work on one of the hundreds of obscure Ubisoft mobile games. He said in an interviewer how he realized his talent was being wasted and that Ubisoft is now a dead end job, especially how the company treated everyone during the pandemic. which is why he quit and managed to convince a few of his coworkers to quit with him. They worked on their own game, which was a steampunk turn-base RPG simply called "Project Sandfall". They eventually got additional investors and Kepler Int. to publish their game.
Like i said, half knowledge (halbwissen) dunno if thats a good english way to express it Basically some friend told me the info half a year ago I didn't think much of it since I didn't care about the game and went about my day
I doubt it was anything substancial or legit since the game still made bank
Doubt its this but just googling: main lead clair obscur millionar lead me to a reddit thread (ew) with essentially what i said before and its just called "How did Sandfall Interactive (Clair Obscur Expedition 33) finance themselves?"
Is it reliable? not really but like i said even if its false I didn't really think it was the truth lol
Why is this getting pulled back up?? Also i dont get the hype for claire 33 or whatver it was called, tried it but just not a fan of turn based combat
We ALL know you say sneed horn😭

Also there another one called gorilla hon I can’t find a definition for it but it’s probably for trans men
so many Slurs are so fucking stupid sounding
theres no good trans slurs I need to come up with my own cuase yall fuckers suck at it
I love it when the Independent Game Award is won by a dependent game
Seriously tho kepler interactive nor the budget of over a mil should be considered indie
That's what I'm saying, dawg. btw, the budget is probably way more than a million or even 10 million since they didn't include the actor fees,
and a lot of people are playing the "what is an indie?" card, idk, but I don't think a company backed by at least 120 million from NetEase qualifies for the "indie" title
I heard 30 mil being thrown around a lot but regardless of that I meant in general everything above a mil shouldn't count as an indie anymore.
I dont care how little games from the nominees would even qualify then because I doubt hades 2 for example would count as an indie. I dont care give it to actually small productions.
How will death stranding winning no awards affect Kojima and Geoff friendship
