So, I just discovered that my 15 year old PC has a virus that first made its appearance around my country when I got the now potato PC as a gift, and i learned that it has a bit of a lore behind it
so i thought, why the fuck not i open a topic for us to talk about computer viruses that has lore behind their creation, and i will be sharing what kinda lore the bugger in my PC has

so yeah basically, this Turkish-made virus, named "MusaLLaT" was made by a highschooler around 2011, as a tool to do a "harmless" prank, where its functions were :
- Cut off access to regedit, taskmgr and cmd so the user doesn't do a sting op on it
- perform mitosis on the entire computer, making copies of itself literally in EVERY SINGLE FOLDER IT CAN ACCESS, EVEN IN SECONDARY DRIVES
- leech off your computer's memory causing it to slow down by a LOT (mf out here taking memory as if we're paying it rent to use our PC)
Beyond any of the things above, it didn't do nothin, and as such, it wasn't deadly. But as with any virus, you guessed it, it got out of hand, and spread like wildfire, and some time later, the creator of the virus caught onto it, and made an antivirus specifically to hunt every single file that came from the mitosis of the initial executable and reverse any other damages it caused
