noticeably better than the previous games, at least from what I could tell from the few games I played, although the hype around it is the same ''this will totally kill COD, this time for real'' it always turn out to be

COD is an area shooter, Battlefield... is not, they're both very good at what they do.

Undoubtedly. I never said the COD v. Battlefield debate was making any sense. It's just a current problem that some peoples expectations are set according to another game which is, gameplay wise, barely related.
