I'm genuinely not sure if this is supposed to be an attempt sarcasm or something? Not sure if you've noticed, but people generally tend to have feelings n' stuff?
You can see that the art style has changed drastically throughout the comic, so from that you can see that it has been made over quite a span of time, and well motivation to do things usually doesn't last forever. So it's not that hard to image that after several months of working on a comic the artist simply lost the motivation to continue, and since they aren't exactly getting paid to make images of ponies getting fucked by dogs that you can get off to, they didn't really have a reason to continue.
Perhaps it wasn't motivation, it could've been them not knowing how to continue the comic. Either way, at the start they prolly had no idea it would take this long or that they wouldn't finish it.
The point you're trying to make here is also extremely stupid. You shouldn't start things if you're not 100% sure you will finish them? Like what?? Have you never abandoned a project because you simply didn't want to continue??
