I'm not talking about anal sex being a new phenomenon or something that's depraved, I'm saying that the current expectations and demand/supply of porn has warped so drastically that it's reached a point where shit like expecting anal on the first date or degrading women is becoming more commonplace (which is also echoed in the increase in public anecdotes of women being strangled with no warning on the first date but that's neither here nor there).
Anal sex isn't bad, nor am I saying it should be banned, it's that it's prevalence and expectation in porn is a testament to the current issues with the porn industry and its relationship/influence with men and women regarding sex. People should be aware and critical of this influence. Im not a shit-eating evangelical, I know all of them are targeting porn to have their through line to gay people. I just want people to not take everything they see and hear about sex at face value.
I agree that porn buttsex doesn't resemble the real thing, but I'm skeptical that anybody who's ever actually had it is demanding it on a first date, unless they met on Grindr and have a broad definition of "date".
