The reason she became corrupted from jasper and looked like a quartz is because Jasper being corrupted and them came in peridot it caused the quartz corruption to get in peridot
So i know I have no place to talk as I am reading this depravity but isn't it a thing where certain gems corrupt in different ways? That being said wouldn't it not make sense for peridot to grow horns and stripes? It looks like only quartz gems get that sort of hound/beast like traits like the horns. Don't mind me though
Technically they never showed in the show a peridot being corrupt but even though you take that into consideration the stripes would at least be green and dark green so either way you're right
Corruption only affects a gem if said gem was cracked or damaged and reformed with a completely different gem. The story doesn't add up to the original lore, but it's r34 so expects anything goes.
