I get what your saying but I think the colors and all the design is that way to add an ambience and some sort of mood to everything so when it changes it’s not subtle it’s very distinct
i like what the artist is trying to do with the comics style but the lighting colors and textures conflict, and really make it mesh together. alot of pages everything just sorta looks the same instead bringing attention to the characters, i'm more focused on the environment and how much it messes up the scene., you could keep the dark aesthetic by simply making characters skin tones abit brighter or putting in more light sources that don't feel unnatural. pretty nice comic though.
